POSITION TYPE: Permanent
LOCATION: Delta, BC (Hybrid)
REPORTS TO:  Chief Operating Officer
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB PURPOSE:
The Marketing Specialist will effectively plan, organize, and execute marketing projects to drive product and brand awareness. These responsibilities include digital and traditional marketing initiatives, public relations, and event support.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Corporate
Consistently embodies and models the adherence to the corporate values of the organization;
Works effectively and relates well with others exhibiting a professional manner while striving to maintain constructive working relationships;
Protects and maintains strict confidentiality of the company, its products, formulations and processes along with the personal information of all staff members;
Key Marketing Responsibilities
Prepares an annual marketing plan with specific objectives aligned with SIPCO’s strategic business plan with the support of Marketing Associate and the Chief Operating Officer;
Plans and manages annual marketing budget with the support of Chief Operating Officer;
Manages external freelancers, as well as agencies;
Creates, implements, and analyzes digital marketing campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Google Ads & Analytics, Amazon, Website optimization, Blog, Influencer Marketing);
Works closely with the social media influencers;
Plans, executes and participates in traditional marketing initiatives (print ads, product sampling, SWAG creation, and tradeshows);
Works with the Marketing Associate and Sales team on collateral creation (videos, press releases, print ads, e-blasts, blog posts, POS materials, social media content, etc.)
Responsible for project management in marketing department and makes sure all marketing efforts are executed as per the plan and on time;
Tracks, analyzes, and reports performance of all marketing initiatives and ensure correct media positioning, ROI and KPl’s for online ad campaigns;
Researches new advertising and market trends on an ongoing basis;
Collaborates in the development of creative briefs and creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets;
Assists in preparing and sending product samples and SWAG materials to customers;
Collaborates with the distribution channel partners including distributors and retailers on joint marketing efforts;
Submits weekly progress report;
Submits Monthly Website and Digital Advertising reports.
Quality / ISO
Works in an ISO certified company and complies with all applicable ISO requirements including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and quality assurance measures;
Identifies non-conformances, initiating and resolving NCR’s;
Continuous Improvement & Teamwork
Recommends and administers policies and procedures to enhance operations;
Participates in weekly and monthly company meetings;
Participates as a team player focused on the success and well-being of the company;
Participates in and conducts cross training activities as required;
Misc.
Promotes positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors;
Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required;
Safety
Adheres to all work safe requirements as applicable.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or certificate in Marketing is a MUST. Bachelor’s degree is preferred;
Progressive experience of at least 5 years in Marketing, which should include Digital Marketing, Branding and New Product Launch;
Exceptional working knowledge of WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Hootsuite;
Experience with social ad platforms, specifically Facebook Business Manager and Instagram Ads; 
Working Knowledge of YouTube and TikTok is required;
Great at multi-tasking by working on multiple projects simultaneously, troubleshooting obstacles, and providing outstanding communication;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
Strong writing skills for customer facing documents is required;
Familiarity with Storepoint application is required;
Project management skills is a MUST; familiarity with Wrike is a plus (project management app);
Excellent eye for detail;
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud;
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking;
Creative and ability to think outside of the box;
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills;
Respect timelines/deadlines and works well under pressure;
Energetic, self-motivated with ability to work under minimal supervision;
